MyPlace Story
In 2019, Zach Bell created a no-code website over a long weekend to make his two places available to a small circle of friends. His friends asked if they could add their homes and one thing led to another and that squarespace site ended up on the cover of the travel section of NYT during a global pandemic and was called the Raya of Homesharing.
Thousands of internet strangers reached out to see if they could access the site to share their homes with their own friends. At that moment we realized that many more people would make their houses available to their friends if they didn't have to offer them as public rentals. By connecting friends and private groups - MyPlace enables sharing that wouldn't otherwise happen on public rental markets.
Our Team
Our team of leaders in community and technology have been building global, high impact, online and offline communities and tech products for decades. Co-Founder & CTO Rameet Chawla is MyPlace's user number 2 and leads a top notch, lean technology team.
How we do it
At MyPlace, you'll be joining a globally distributed fully remote team of entrepreneurs and industry experts who have successfully built and launched multiple companies and products over the years. Slack is home, Zoom is our living room, having strong Wi Fi is a necessity.
Senior Full-Stack Engineer
As a senior Full Stack Developer at MyPlace, your role will be to help us with both back and front end programming. You’ll be responsible for designing and developing front end web architectures, improving the responsiveness of web applications, and helping graphic designers with their work on our web design features. You’ll have the opportunity to foster a project from its initial conception all the way to the final product. MyPlace is on a mission to help you share your home with people you trust and currently facilitates the sharing of hundreds of private places globally.

Responsibilities
- Translate UX designs into working code
- Developing and designing APIs
- Developing back-end web applications
- Developing front end web architecture
Necessary Qualifications
- 4+ years proficiency with front-end languages like CSS, HTML, and JavaScript;
- 4+ years proficiency with Python and Django
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React, Redux, webpack, etc.
- Knowledge of SQL databases and query optimization
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience building cross-platform optimization of web applications for mobile devices

- This is a FULL TIME position starting immediately.
